In the same year, in order to meet the musical requirements of the new institution and as a materialization of the mission to promote culture assumed by the public broadcasting company, conductor Mihail Jora founded the Radio Orchestra, which today is ORCHESTRA NATIONALA RADIO (the National Radio Orchestra – e.n.), an ensemble which also celebrates the beautiful age of 90 years, and which influenced over the time the Romanian artistic world almost a century! Along the National Radio Orchestra, Liviu Prunaru will perform three works: Jules Massenet – Meditation from the Thaïs Opera, Gabriel Fauré – Après a rêve for violin and orchestra, and Henryk Wieniawski – Polish in A major. The second part of the evening proposes to the audience one of the most appreciated “hits” of the classical music, the famous cantata CARMINA BURANA, composed by Carl Orff and performed with the participation of the voice soloists DIANA TUGUI (soprano), STEFAN von KORCH (tenor) and BALLA SÁNDOR (baritone).
