22nd ANONIMUL Festival Retrospective to screen August 28-31 in Bucharest, Timisoara, and Tulcea

The retrospective of the 22nd edition of the ANONIMUL International Independent Film Festival, which took place in Sfantu Gheorghe (Danube Delta), will be held from August 28-31 at Cinema Elvire Popesco in Bucharest, on the terrace of Cinema Studio in Timisoara, and in Tulcea as part of the Ivan Patzaichin Festival, according to a press release sent on Monday.At Cinema Elvire Popesco in Bucharest, audiences can catch the latest film by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, Jeunes M?res, which won the Best Screenplay award at Cannes and opened this year's screenings in Sfantu Gheorghe. The film will have its Bucharest premiere on August 30 at 8:30 p.m.Also at Cinema Elvire Popesco, audiences can see feature films from the competition, including Holy Electricity, winner of the Golden Leopard in the Cineasti del Presente competition at Locarno; Loveable; Under the Volcano; and One of Those Days When Hemme Dies, the 2025 ANONIMUL Trophy winner.Award-winning Romanian short films this year - Sunny, directed by Andreea Parfenov, named Best Romanian Short Film, and Flori, fete si baieti, by Simona Borcea, awarded the 'Ovidiu Bose Paatina' Prize - as well as Cura Sana (Spain), directed by Lucia G. Romero, selected by the Sfantu Gheorghe audience as the Best Short in the international competition - will also be screened at Cinema Elvire Popesco.In Timisoara, audiences at Cinema Studio will be able to watch the Retrospective films on the cinema terrace, outdoors, closer to the atmosphere of the Delta festival. Short films and selections from the #BackToShorts section will be screened from August 29-31.In Tulcea, viewers will also be able to see Romanian short films outdoors as part of the Ivan Patzaichin Festival on August 29 and 30.Tickets for the ANONIMUL XXII Retrospective screenings in Bucharest and Timisoara are already available on Eventbook.ro.The full program will soon be available at www.festival-anonimul.ro.The ANONIMUL XXII Retrospective is a project supported by the National Center for Cinematography and organized by the Anonimul Foundation in collaboration with FAMart.The 22nd edition of the ANONIMUL International Independent Film Festival took place from August 11-17 in Sfantu Gheorghe.
