February 6, 2024

The emergency road will be built by Romania as it bids to help Ukraine during the ongoing conflict with Russia, https://www.express.co.uk/ reads. A new map has shown a 280-mile "emergency" road being built through Europe to Ukraine.   The new road will run from the Romanian capital of Bucharest to the town of Siret in Ukraine in a bid to open up a new transport corridor allowing it to access ports in Romania. It will bypass Poland, Hungry and Slovakia according to Eastern European news site NEXTA providing direct access to  Ukraine   Romanian press say the highway is being built as quickly as possible with about 3,000 workers and hundreds of vehicles being used.   Staff are said to be working around the clock, seven days a week to get the road finished. The road will open up a new route for supplies to reach the frontline in Ukraine's war against Russia, after Turkey banned two British ships being gifted to the Eastern European country from entering its waters.   On its way from Bucharest to Siret, the road will stop off in Ploiesti, Buzau, Focsani, Bacau and Pascani.   It comes as Vladimir Putin is said to be "panicking" as war continues to hit the Russian economy hard prompting claims those living in the country could take to the streets.
