Two former managers from Cluj residents have left the corporation and are setting up a business that will offer new perspectives to the medical field in Romania

May 9, 2024

Emil Sâncrăian and Bogdan Haș, two former managers in top companies in the pharma and medical device industry, have started a business that will bring new perspectives to the medical industry in Romania.
The two entrepreneurs have set up Global Med Care, a project that promises to redefine standards in the Romanian medical field. Focusing on the areas of Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Dermatology, the two entrepreneurs aim to transform the way these specialties are approached in Romania. The aim of the project is to introduce cutting-edge technologies and innovative treatments, making it easier for medical professionals and patients to access these types of treatments, with an estimated turnover of over €6 million by the end of 2026.
Comprehensive and integrated therapeutic solutions
The two from Cluj, Emil Sâncrăian and Bogdan Haș, have so far coagulated 15 leading global companies, each strategically chosen, including Baxter, Allergan Aesthetics, Urgo Aesthetics, Corza Medical (Quill), Silimed, TSK Laboratories and Marina Medical. These companies, which the Cluj-based organisation will represent in Romania, will be included in a comprehensive medical promotion, distribution and medical education service.
"I am convinced that Global Med Care will soon become one of the main players in the medical devices market in Romania. With extensive experience in the field, both my colleague and I have developed successful projects and have been connected with the medical device market both locally and internationally. We have discussed with medical professionals and identified new market needs, and our project is designed to address them. The main problem we have noticed is the lack of complete solutions and the inefficiency of some current solutions. We aim to remedy these issues by bringing new technologies and therapeutic solutions to Romania", says Bogdan Haș co-founder of Global Med Care.
"Our product portfolios complement each other synergistically, we focus on providing healthcare professionals with complete and integrated therapeutic solutions, not just individual products. Regardless of specialty, we are committed to ensuring safety and efficiency in any surgery, providing physicians with access to comprehensive solutions for every stage of the procedure, from medical instruments, sutures to post-operative recovery programs," adds Emil Sâncrăian, co-founder of Global Med Care.
In Dermatology and Plastic Surgery, two cutting-edge technologies are attracting attention. The first is a new generation of non-ablative fractional lasers, weighing just 680 grams in total, which offer solutions for facial rejuvenation and treatment of actinic keratoses, atrophic scars and stretch marks.
The other technology is an innovative treatment based on growth factors and exosomes, designed to revitalise and regenerate ageing skin at the cellular level. The partner company is a leader in advanced bioengineering, producing synthetic exosomes with a unique composition (25 billion).
Contribution to medical education
The two entrepreneurs consider the education component to be extremely important for a well-functioning medical field, which is why they will invest in this area, organising medical education trainings, including up to the level of making a medical toolkit to help students at medical schools across the country.
"We want to invest a lot in education, because this is the only way to invest in the future.
We will be integral in organising workshops to develop medical skills and techniques, starting with students. We have already taken a first step in this direction, as we have created a kit with medical instruments and anatomical casts that will soon circulate around the country as a support for all student associations," explains Bogdan Haș.
"We plan to develop a council of experts in the fields of General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Dermatology, including doctors with experience in developing medical education programmes. We are working with medical and pharmacy universities to support student associations in organising hands-on training and workshops.
We have a strong partnership with a Romanian manufacturer of anatomical casts to ensure the success of these initiatives," adds Emil Sâncrăian.
In 2025, the entrepreneurs aim to go beyond the country's borders, with most contracts with partners including this aspect.
The countries concerned are the Republic of Moldova, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria. The company wants to have a direct presence in these markets, but the founders are also open to co-promotion partnerships with companies that share their vision and approach. Both in Romania and abroad, Global Med Care's vision remains the same: to facilitate access to cutting-edge technologies for healthcare professionals through a comprehensive approach. This includes the medical promotion of products, ensuring the accuracy of the medical information transmitted, pre and post-sales clinical support and distribution/shipment of products within 24 hours of receiving a request.
