The turnover from market services mainly provided to enterprises dropped, the first four months of this year, against the corresponding period of 2023, both as gross series by 0.9% and adjusted series depending on the number of working days and season, by 0.7% according to the data published on Friday by the National Institute for Statistics (INS).Thus, between 1 January and 30 April 2024, as compared to the period 1 January and 30 April 2023 the turnover from market services provided mainly to the enteprises, gross series dropped, as a whole, by 0.9% as a result of the drop in the turnover from transport activities (-0.7%), communication activities and other services provided mainly to enteprises (-2.7%), each. Increases were recorded in computer and information activities (+8.1%) and motion picture, video and television activities (+7.0%). In the period from 1 January to 30 April 2024, compared with the period from 1 January to 30 April 2023, turnover in market services provided mainly to enterprises, working day adjusted and seasonally adjusted series, fell by 0.7% in nominal terms. According to the NSI, turnover in market services provided mainly to businesses, gross series, increased by 2.4% overall in April 2024, compared with the previous month, due to an increase in turnover in motion picture, video and television programme production activities; radio and television broadcasting activities (+10.5%), transport activities (+6.3%), other business activities (+4.3%) and communication activities (+1.9%). Computer and information service activities fell by 4.0%. Turnover in market services mainly provided to businesses, working day adjusted and seasonally adjusted series, increased by 1.9% in April 2000 compared with the previous month. Turnover in market services primarily provided to businesses, gross series, also increased by 1.0% in April 2024 compared with April 2023, due to an increase in turnover in motion picture, video and television programme production activities (+12.8%), transport activities (+3.0%), computer and information activities (+2.2%) and communication activities (+1.2%). Other business services decreased by 0.8%. Turnover from market services primarily provided to businesses, working day and seasonally adjusted series, fell by 1.9% in April 2024 compared with April 2023.
