Tulcea: RO-ALERT message in the context of the war in Ukraine

On Saturday morning, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations sent a RO-ALERT message to the localities in the northern part of Tulcea County and to part of the population of Galati, informing that, in the context of the war in Ukraine, there is aOn Saturday morning, the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations sent a RO-ALERT message to the localities in the northern part of Tulcea County and to part of the population of Galati, informing that, in the context of the war in Ukraine, there is a risk of falling objects from the airspace. The RO-ALERT message was issued by IGSU around 6:45 and had as purpose the information of the population in the area in the close vicinity of the Romanian-Ukrainian border with regard to the behavior in such situations, the recommendation to keep calm and self-protection measures.   Such messages were sent to the population starting with the autumn of last year when on the territory of Tulcea county drones fell, following the attacks of the Russian Federation on the Ukrainian ports on the Danube.According to MApN,in the Tulcea county, last year were identified in four cases unmanned aircraft wreckage (UAV) on 5 September in the forest on the right shore of Chilia channel, close to Plauru on 9the September in the same area, on 13th September close to Nufaru and during the night of 13 to 14 December – close to Grindu. These were the only drone wreckage found by the army in Romania last year.
