Charge d'affaires of Russian Embassy to Bucharest summoned by Foreign Ministry

Upon the request of the minister of foreign affairs, the charge d'affaires of the Russian Embassy to Bucharest was summoned today, Thursday, July 25, 2024 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, following the identification in Tulcea county of fragments from drones used by the Russian army in attacks on Ukrainian ports, a press release of the Foreign Ministry reads.   The Foreign Ministry representative conveyed the firm protest of Romanian authorities and condemned the repeated attacks of the Russian forces on Ukrainian civil infrastructure, and requested their immediate cessation. He reminded that targeting civilian objectives represents war crimes. He also pointed out the irresponsible character of the military hits, in the immediate proximity of Romania's border, which endanger national security.   On a broader plane, he pointed out the exclusive responsibility of the Russian Federation, as a result of the aggression against Ukraine, for the serious deterioration of security at the Black Sea.
