European Commission approved €1.7 billion for research and innovation projects

Digitization Minister Bogdan Ivan announces that the European Commission has approved the release of €1.7 billion for strategic research and innovation projects. ‘After two years of negotiations, the European Commission approved the release of 1.7 billion euro for strategic projects in research and innovation! This happened because MCID did what they had to do, and the EC considered as complete the favouring condition ‘good governance of the national or regional strategy for intelligent specialisation’ under our coordination’ the minister said on Facebook. He thanked the colleagues in the ministry who took part in the negotiations, especially to the state secretary, Andrei Alexandru and the team from the ministry of investments and European Projects."Their hard work is providing reimbursements from European funds for 10 programs under the Cohesion Policy. The investments will cover all regions of the country. With all this funding, we are building an innovation ecosystem in Romania and supporting entrepreneurs in the field, the Romanian geniuses who develop cutting-edge technologies and add value to the economy and industry", the minister said.
