European Commission: Romania will get technical support for the application plan of Pact on migration and asylum, the EC Representative Office in Romania informs. According to this source, Belgium, Czechia, Germany, Estonia, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Romania will receive specific consulting from experts for four months, until the end of November. Following the coming into force of the Pact on migration and Asylum and the adoption of the Joint Application Plan on June 12, the Commission will offer adapted support and specialized consulting for nine member states, by means of the Technica Support Instrument. This support will help the respective member states to prepare their national application plans which should be presented by early December. In June the Commission launched a secific suggestion request in order to support member states in preparing their plans, offering specific support to carry out situation analyses and identify actions needed to apply the pact. TSI is an EU instrument based on demand, which offers personalized expertise to member states. Member states authorities request support by means of an annual suggestions application and sometimes of specific suggestions answering emergent needs. The instrument offers access to expertise and high quality adapted information, under the form of strategic and technical counselling,evaluation of reform needs, training classes and missions of experts in the respective country.
