Transilvania Fashion International Festival to host collections from three continents

October 2, 2024

The 2024 edition of Transilvania Fashion International Festival (FITF) - Powered by Banca Transilvania will take place in Cluj-Napoca from September 6-8, 2024 and will gather collections from Europe, Asia and Africa."The event is organised by the Pro Transilvania Cultural Association together with the 'Produs de Cluj' Association, in collaboration with the European Fashion Council and FashionTV, with the support of the City Hall and the City Council of Cluj-Napoca and Cluj County Council. Part of a cycle of events dedicated to the presentation, promotion and recognition of creativity and excellence in the field, the Transilvania Fashion International Festival (FITF) turns Cluj, for three days, into the East-European capital of fashion," the organisers said in a press release on Tuesday.According to the quoted source, the festival will take place on the esplanade of the Urban Culture Centre in the Central Park of Cluj-Napoca, which will be transformed, with the help of an impressive logistics of catwalk, sound, light and LED screens, into a superb outdoor amphitheatre, surrounded by the imposing building of the Casino and the historic Artesian Fountain, arranged in 1897 and inspired by the buildings of the famous Sanssouci Palace in Potsdam."This is the first edition of the festival when we have collections from two other continents: Asia and Africa. With a spectacular track record, the 2024 edition of the festival is a platform for expressing the creativity of 112 designers from 10 countries, selected from a large number of applications and grouped in 16 shows each evening of the event. We already have a novelty for the 2025 edition, when the festival will take place over four days, from Thursday to Sunday, in order to give as many designers as possible the opportunity to participate in the event," said Dr. Matei Miko, president and producer of the Transilvania Fashion International Festival. This year's festival also enjoys valuable collaborators from the areas of modeling, make-up, hairstyling, fashion photography, as well as numerous bloggers and journalists, who honour us with their presence. In addition to Romania, designers from Italy, Germany, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Serbia, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Republic of Moldova, China and Egypt will present their creations in Cluj.
