ICR invites young musicians to participate in annual selection for European Union Youth Orchestra - EUYO

Young Romanian musicians between the ages of 16 and 26 can register, until September 30, for the annual selection for the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO).The auditions will take place on October 23 in Bucharest and October 24 in Timisoara, informed a press release of the Romanian Cultural Institute.Registration is done online at https://euyo.eu/auditions/.Starting from 2010, the participation of Romanian musicians at EUYO is supported by the Romanian Cultural Institute. Until now, more than 20 instrumentalists from Romania have taken part in the EUYO training courses, in partnership with ICR.     International Olympiad of Hellenism brings together representatives from eight countries at Palace of Parliament   The Ministry of Education in partnership with the Hellenic Union of Romania (EBU) is organising the 9th edition of the International Olympiad of Hellenism in Bucharest, from September 5 to 8.The competition is part of the Ministry of Education's concern to stimulate excellence in pre-university education and to support the affirmation of the cultural and linguistic identity of national minorities in Romania, said an EBU press release."The International Olympiad of Hellenism is a project initiated by the Hellenic Union of Romania in 2014, whose objectives are to keep alive the flame of Hellenism, knowledge and promotion of the Hellenic language and civilization as one of the richest and most remarkable cultures of human civilization, through the work of the Hellenic communities in each country and beyond," the EBU said.This year's event will bring together students from 8 countries: Albania, Greece, Republic of Moldova, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Turkey, Ukraine and Ukraine. The festive opening of the competition will take place on Friday, from 9:00 to 11:00, at the Nicolae Balcescu Hall of the Palace of Parliament, and the awards ceremony will take place on Saturday, from 10:00 to 12:30, at the Chamber of Deputies, Education Committee Hall.
