Government reiterates firm condemnation of Hamas attacks against State of Israel

The Romanian Government reiterates its firm condemnation of the Hamas attacks against the State of Israel, as well as its calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held captive in the enclave for 365 days."Today, October 7, 2024, we commemorate one year since the atrocious attacks by Hamas against the State of Israel and the unprecedented violence against more than 1,100 innocent civilians. In this context, the Romanian Government reiterates its strong condemnation of these attacks, as well as its calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held captive in the enclave for 365 days," the Romanian Government said in a press release on Monday.The executive also mentioned that Romania supports the efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace in the Middle East."Romania supports the international community's efforts to conclude a ceasefire agreement that will lead both to the release of hostages and to a continuous, safe and unimpeded flow of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. Our country will not cease to support efforts to achieve lasting peace in the Middle East," the government added.
