November 7, 2024

The Unifarm National Company and the employers' association of Confindustria Romania signed on Monday, in Milan, Italy, a cooperation protocol for the development of economic ties between Italy and Romania in the pharmaceutical sector, following a series of joint actions.Under the collaboration protocol, the two entities have set ambitious objectives, such as: promoting economic cooperation between the two countries based on common values and close ties; organising business meetings; promoting participation in jointly organised exhibitions and fairs; organising trade missions, seminars, symposiums, conferences and other activities in order to improve knowledge about the economy of the pharmaceutical sector in the two countries, as well as promoting business development and identifying partners for mutually beneficial trade. In addition to the signing of the protocol, in the presence of the official representatives of the Consulate General of Romania in Milan and of some carefully selected Italian pharmaceutical companies, General Manager Adrian Marius Dobre presented the strategic role that the Unifarm National Company plays in the Romanian medical system and its strategic role in ensuring that the Romanian market has access to the latest and most effective medicines and therapies for patients in Romania. The agreement between the two entities will also bring significant benefits to both nations and economies. Italy, on the one hand, will be able to witness the consolidation of the presence of its companies on a strategic foreign market such as Romania, promoting innovation and the quality of its pharmaceutical products. On the other hand, Romania will gain easier access to high-quality medicines, contributing to raising standards of care and improving the well-being of its own population."The pharmaceutical industry in Romania is developing rapidly. As CEO of the Romanian state pharmaceutical company, I am eager to start working with our Italian partners to explore how we can further expand our sector and business in the healthcare industry. The partnership concluded today will represent an opportunity to discuss topics of common interest," Dobre is quoted as saying in a press release.Giulio Bertola, chairman of Confindustria Romania, the employers' association that represents the largest Italian investments in Romania, said in his turn, at the event in Milan, that it is necessary to immediately take concrete and innovative measures for the development of all forms of foreign economic activity in such a sensitive sector."I am particularly honoured by the fact that a national company of strategic import, such as UNIFARM, has chosen Confindustria Romania in this effort to develop commercial relations in the pharmaceutical sector between the two countries, Romania and Italy, strategic relations for the Romanian medical system as well. I believe that it is necessary to immediately take concrete and innovative measures for the development of all forms of external economic activity in such a sensitive sector that needs a reliable relational/industrial supply chain, in order to guarantee a stable supply of high-quality medicines," Bertola said.
