First flight from Bucharest to Paris with HiSky

October 15, 2024

* The airline inaugurates its 13th regular route from Otopeni Airport On Monday, October 14th, the first passengers of HiSky's flight to Paris took off from Bucharest. With this launch, the airline introduced one of the most anticipated regular routes departing from the capital’s airport. HiSky now becomes the third airline, after Romania's and France's national carriers, to offer flights between Bucharest and Paris's main airport, Charles de Gaulle.   Despite offering all the amenities of a full-service airline, ticket prices? to Paris start at just 59 euros for one-way travel. Furthermore, thanks to HiSky’s network connections, passengers from Cluj Napoca, Oradea, and Timi?oara can also easily reach this destination, with just a short stop in Bucharest on both outbound and return flights.   "Until today, only four airlines offered direct flights from Bucharest to Paris, two of which are low-cost carriers with the significant drawback of landing at secondary airports far from the city. We believed passengers needed an affordable alternative for flying with a full-service airline. As we've done with all our regular routes, we analyzed both Romanians' interest in Paris and the profile and habits of passengers who choose this destination. For business travelers and those visiting Paris for a brief city break, we felt the main airport was the most efficient option for city access. Furthermore, Charles de Gaulle is also a key hub for connections to destinations currently not directly accessible from Romania. Today’s inauguration is just another step in delivering the high-quality services our passengers have come to expect, tailored exactly to their needs," said Iulian Scorpan, CEO of HiSky.   Following the inaugural flight, Romanian passengers can now travel to the French capital aboard a HiSky aircraft three times a week—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Each flight lasts approximately three hours, departing from Henri Coand? Airport at 10:20 AM, with the return flight leaving Paris at 1:25 PM local time.   According to passenger transport data, HiSky is the second most important full-service airline in Romania. With a fleet of eight Airbus aircraft, including one large aircraft capable of flying for up to 13 hours, the company operates regular flights from airports in Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Oradea, Iasi, Baia Mare, and Chisinau, as well as charter flights in partnership with leading travel agencies. With the launch of the Paris route, passengers can now book direct HiSky flights from Bucharest to 13 destinations, namely New York, Dublin, Malaga, Barcelona, Brussels, Tel Aviv, Frankfurt, Bordeaux, Paris, Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Oradea, and Chisinau.
