President Iohannis at the European Council: Support for Rep. of Moldova's European path to be discussed

President Klaus Iohannis is participating in the European Council meeting in Brussels, where support for the Republic of Moldova's European path ahead of the presidential elections and the referendum on Sunday will be discussed, among other topics."I am here today at the European Council in Brussels to discuss the European Union's support for Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, migration, competitiveness, foreign affairs and our support for the Republic of Moldova's European path ahead of the presidential elections and the referendum on EU accession," the head of state wrote on Thursday on the X platform.The agenda of the European Council meeting includes topics such as Ukraine, the situation in the Middle East, EU competitiveness, migration, foreign affairs and the Republic of Moldova."At Romania's proposal, the agenda of the meeting will also include discussions on the situation in the Republic of Moldova, as well as on support for EU accession, aimed in particular at internal reforms and strengthening resilience and stability. In the perspective of the upcoming elections and the referendum on the Republic of Moldova's European integration, the issue of Russian interference in the electoral process will also be discussed," the Presidential Administration informed.  (Photo:https://www.presidency.ro/)
