Romania's Embassy in Kyiv has taken additional measures to ensure the protection of its staff, limiting its activities to emergency actions, in light of the security developments in Ukraine, the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) reported on Wednesday.According to the ministry, this measure was taken in coordination with the diplomatic missions of other allied and EU member states."The situation is being monitored continuously, and in consultation with Ukrainian authorities, measures will be adjusted depending on the developments," the Romanian Foreign Affairs Ministry informed.The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv issued a warning about a possible significant airstrike on Wednesday, a day after Russia declared it would respond to Ukraine's missile strikes with long-range U.S. rockets on its territory, AFP reports.The Embassy received precise information regarding a possible significant airstrike on November 20, according to an announcement made on Wednesday by the U.S. diplomatic mission on its website.Shortly after the U.S. Embassy's announcement, a similar message was sent by the Embassy of Spain in the Ukrainian capital. The Spanish diplomatic mission informed its citizens residing in Ukraine via email on Wednesday that it would not provide services during the day due to the increased risk of airstrikes throughout Ukraine, according to EFE.
