The air transport of goods went up by 6.1% in the first nine months of 2024, compared to the same period of 2023, from 36,250 tons to 38,451 tons, according to data centralised by the National Statistics Institute (INS). The highest shares in the transport of goods was recorded by Henri Coanda Airport Bucharest, with 10,500 tons of goods loaded and 17,200 tons unloaded, Avram Iancu Cluj-Napoca – 2,600 tons of goods loaded and 3,000 tons unloaded and Traian Vuia-Timisoara, with 2,000 tons loaded and 3,200 tons unloaded. In domestic transportation, Henri Coanda Airport Bucharest recorded 22.2% all goods loaded, Avram Iancu Cluj-Napoca 46.8% and Traian Vuia-Timisoara 31% to goods loaded.
