Romanian, Hungarian foreign ministers discuss adding substance to Romania - Hungary Strategic Partneship

 Foreign Minister Emil Hurezeanu met on Monday with visiting Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, on the occasion of the Hungarian top diplomat's participation in an international energy conference organized in Bucharest.At the meeting, the two ministers voiced appreciation for the high dynamics of the Romanian-Hungarian bilateral dialogue and tackled topics related to the stage and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as topics on the European and security agenda, the Romanian Foreign Ministry said in a release.According to the cited source, Minister Emil Hurezeanu emphasized the need to add more substance to the Romania - Hungary Strategic Partnership, a fundamental element of bilateral cooperation, and expressed his confidence that maintaining an open, pragmatic approach based on partnership and cooperation will make it possible to fully exploit the bilateral potential.The two ministers agreed that one of the main goals for the future is to develop and deepen bilateral economic and sectoral cooperation through the implementation of joint projects of interest to the citizens of both states, in areas such as infrastructure, transport, energy.The Romanian foreign minister pointed out the concerns regarding the security challenges generated by the Russian Federation's aggression in Ukraine, as well as their multiple implications, reiterating Romania's staunch positions on this issue.
