Earlier, the unrecognised administration in Tiraspol had announced that it would examine the possibility of granting 3 million cubic metres of gas to the region. According to Tiraspol, Tiraspoltransgaz has undertaken to return the gas later or pay for it. In other words, it would be gas "on debt", writes NewsMaker.   Another part of the EU support package, said premier Recean, says that the EU will offer Kishinev during the period 1 -10 February a grant of 30 million euro so acquire gas volumes, to produce electricity in the Cuciurgan unit at ‘ anti-crisis costs’ and consumption on the left bank of the Dniester be ensured. ‘ The EU offers a grant of 30 million euro to acquire volumes of natural gas during this period, to produce electricity for the right bank at anti-crisis costs and to ensure consumption for the left bank of the Dniester – natural gas and production of electricity’ Recean said.   The third part of the package refers to a programme of energy resilience for the next two years. ‘This package has two basic components: 1.The necessary investment both for the production and the distribution of electricity to ensure that we have electricity and we cannot be blackmailed. 2: measures for the reduction of tariffs for electricity for all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova. This complete programme is going to be finalized in the next weeks and we will come with a public announcement for concrete sums, and the development programme’ Recean said.
