The Ministry of Investments and European Projects (MIPE) published on Thursday three investment opportunities in the healthcare sector, worth a total of 130 million euros, announced the relevant minister, Marcel Bolos."Behind each investment in healthcare there is a real story: a mother holding her healthy child in her arms, a patient who finds out about his illness in time and has a chance at life, a doctor who improves his training to save more lives. We have financed and continue to finance concrete projects that bring hope, access to better treatments and a stronger medical system. We published today three important opportunities, worth a total of 130 million euros," Bolos wrote on Facebook on Thursday evening.Thus, a funding of 21.4 million euros will be allocated for screening breast, cervical and prostate cancer, but also for essential checks for newborns and mothers, especially in vulnerable communities, given that Romania is the country with the most cases of patients who find out very late that they suffer from a serious illness. The Applicant Guide has been put up for public consultation on the MIPE website.A call for 58.7 million euros has also been launched to modernize and equip palliative care units, so that each patient receives careful and respectful care, the quoted minister said. In addition, special support is being offered in regions with reduced access to medical services.Another call, worth 47.6 million euros, is intended for modern specialization programs for over 11,800 resident doctors, so that they are up to date with the latest treatment methods.
