Competition Council reviews Rombeer Cringasu’s takeover of ADE Gas Oil

The Competition Council is analyzing the transaction through which Rombeer Cringasu SRL intends to take over Ade Gas Company SRL. Rombeer Cringasu SRL, a company with Romanian capital, is part of the RBC Group, active in the wholesale and retail markets of automotive fuels (gasoline, diesel and LPG), mainly in the southern area of Romania (counties of Dâmbovita, Prahova, Giurgiu, Teleorman, Calarasi, Ilfov and Dolj).   Ade Gas Company SRL, a Romanian company, owns a liquefied natural gas (LPG) depot in the municipality of Caracal, Olt county, a filling station for pressure containers for domestic consumption, in the same locality, approximately 80,000 cylinders, as well as numerous skids (mobile stations) of LPG Auto, given on loan (free use).   According to the provisions of the Competition Law no. 21/1996, this transaction must be authorized by the Competition Council, which will evaluate it in order to establish its compatibility with a normal competitive environment and will issue a decision within the deadlines provided by law.
