Tightening bilateral relations, attracting American investments and economic development were among the topics tackled on Wednesday at the meeting between Senate President Ilie Bolojan and U.S. ambassador to Romania Kathleen Kavalec.According to a Senate release posted on the institution's website, Ilie Bolojan welcomed on Wednesday the American diplomat on a courtesy visit, with Kavalec taking the opportunity to congratulate him on his new position, after which the two discussed the Romania - U.S. Strategic Partnership, tightening bilateral relations, attracting American investments, economic development and cooperation in key areas. The visit reiterated the commitment of the two states to continuing to closely cooperate in areas of common interest and support the strategic goals of both sides, the release informs.
