Hidroelectrica reports less electricity in 2024 compared to 2023

 Hidroelectrica Group reports a gross electricity production of 14,224 GWh in 2024, down by 22% compared to 2023, of which 13,928 GWh represents gross production obtained from hydro sources, according to preliminary data posted on Monday on the Bucharest Stock Exchange website.Net electricity production represents 13,864 GWh (minus 21%), of which 13,576 GWh from hydro sources (minus 22%).Electricity production from wind sources was 288 GWh (minus 15%).According to the preliminary key operational indicators of the Hidroelectrica Group for 2024, Hidroelectrica purchased a quantity of 802 GWh of electricity last year, down by 53% compared to 2023.The total quantity of electricity sold by the Hidroelectrica Group in 2024 amounts to 14,665 GWh, down by 24% compared to 2023.Hidroelectrica specifies that the information contained in this report is preliminary and may differ from the final results. "The report contains estimates regarding the Group's results, which reflect the Company's current knowledge and are accompanied by risks and uncertainties that may lead to differences between the final results and those included in this report, therefore it does not represent a guarantee of the company's performance and should be viewed with caution," the report reads.According to the financial calendar, the final financial results for 2024 are to be published on March 26, 2025.Hidroelectrica is a leader in electricity production and the main provider of technological services necessary in the National Energy System. With an average hydrological annual production of over 17 TWh generated in branches strategically located throughout the country, Hidroelectrica provides about 30% of the country's total production.
