Telecom.IT: Romanians last in EU for positive attitude towards AI on the job

Romania ranks last in EU for the people's positive attitude towards AI on the job, according to the Eurobarometer survey released by the European Commission. Data show that 67% of EU citizens positively perceive the use of digital technologies, including AI, in order to improve the employees' safety and security. In exchange, only 50% of Romanians have a positive perception , which ranks us last . 41% of Romanians have a negative perception, a little above the Croatians (34%) and Hungarians (32%), G4Media shows.   The Finnish, Swedes and Danes are European citizens with the highest favorability rate towards AI, while the Portuguese, Croatians and Romanians are at the end of the classification. Although most people back the use of robots and AI in making decisions on the job, 84% of Europeans consider that AI needs careful managing in order to protect private life and transparency on the job.   Most Europeans support clear norms on the use of digital tehnologies, for instance protecting the employees' private lives (82%) and involving workers and their representatives in conceiving and adopting new technologies (77%).
