The Ministry of National Defence (MApN) was informed on Friday afternoon that possible drone fragments were reported by a call placed with single emergency number 112 in an area near the Giurgiulesti border crossing point, in Galati county.In accordance with the procedures applicable in such situations, the area was secured with MApN and Ministry of Internal Affairs contigents.On Saturday morning, a joint team of specialists from the Ministry of National Defence, the Romanian Intelligence Service and the Ministry of Internal Affairs will carry out on-site investigations, and the fragments will be collected for expert examination.MApN mentions that the searched area is located about 500 meters from the border with the Republic of Moldova, in an unincorporated area, with no infrastructure elements affected.
