France's ambassador : Artificial Intelligence is very important for transformation, innovation, creativity

April 3, 2025

The French Ambassador to Romania, Nicolas Warnery, stated on Wednesday that artificial intelligence is very important for transformation, innovation, creativity and is also a field in which one must favor equal opportunities."Artificial intelligence is very important for transformation, innovation, creativity and is also a field in which you must favor equal opportunities because artificial intelligence is a factor of progress, and equal opportunities is, at the same time, an engine for the progress of our society," the French official told the event "Women in Technology and Artificial Intelligence: Innovation, Creativity, Inclusion", held at France's Residence. He stated that this year, in Paris, a summit was organized on artificial intelligence and that during this meeting three major objectives were voiced: allowing everyone to benefit from the advance of artificial intelligence, developing sustainable artificial intelligence and strengthening international governance to have an effective and inclusive artificial intelligence.Alina Dodu, a leader in the field of cybersecurity, said that technology must help business. She drew attention, however, to the way in which technology is used, ensuring that it does not destroy something around us."It has been many years since we have talked about a regional activity, about some kids trying to hack a server - as we heard a few years ago - this moment is long gone and, unfortunately, for many years now we have been talking about state actors, about states supporting cyber attacks. We are talking about attacks from organizations critical to business, to life, and these things are no longer simple and can no longer be treated simply, and we have to take into account that they have access to technology and we have to be one step ahead, and this combination is between what we can think about, how we can support ourselves as people, how we can collaborate, learn, support ourselves and listen to each other, because we can always learn from those around us," Alina Dodu added. The event was also attended by the director of the International Center of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, Adina Florea, and the country manager of Eviden Technologies Romania, Diana Sipos.
