Interim Senate president -Mircea Abrudean, on official visit to France from March 31 to April 1

The interim President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, will pay an official visit to France from March 31 to April 1, according to an internal memorandum approved on Monday by the Senate's leadership.According to the document, Abrudean will meet the President of the French Senate, Gerard Larcher, and the OECD Secretary-General, Mathias Cormann."The program of the visit will also include meetings with local authorities and the diaspora. The visit is part of the bilateral actions carried out between the Romanian Senate and the Senate of the French Republic, which aim to complement and strengthen the existing Strategic Partnership between the two countries, especially in the light of the current economic and security situation in Europe," the document reads.Following this visit, Mircea Abrudean will travel to Malaga (Kingdom of Spain) to take part in the Forum on the Future of the Mediterranean on the occasion of the Spanish Presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (April 2-4).
