SYMMETRICA completes its 50 million euro factory near Bucharest this summer

April 24, 2025

Symmetrica, the player on the local vibro-pressed paving slabs and curbs market, is in the final stages of completing its new factory in Bolintin Vale (Giurgiu County), the largest paving and concrete slab production unit in the company’s network and in the Southeast of Europe. Developed with an investment of nearly 50 million euros, the factory currently has three of its four production lines operational and will be fully functional by this summer. Once the works are completed and the fourth line is installed, the new factory, covering an area of 18,000 square meters, will reach a daily capacity of 15,000 square meters, leading to a 30% increase in the company’s total production. “The Bolintin Vale factory project involved integrating cutting-edge, high-performance equipment to support both efficiency and the development of our premium product range. We are now in the final stage of this process. The first three lines have been put into operation, and after the installation of the fourth line, scheduled for this summer, the production unit will become fully functional, contributing to the development and strengthening of Symmetrica’s position both locally and regionally,” said Sebastian Bobu, Executive Director of Symmetrica. In addition to the four highly advanced production lines, the factory will integrate equipment for special treatments, surface processing, and concrete block splitting. The unit’s energy efficiency will be supported by two photovoltaic parks, which will cover about 60% of the required consumption, reinforcing SYMMETRICA’s sustainability objectives. The development of the Bolintin Vale factory involves an investment of approximately 50 million euros, covered through both internal funds and bank financing. In the fall of 2023, the Suceava-based manufacturer announced the launch of premium collections under the Symmetrica Select brand, marking an important step in expanding its product portfolio and strengthening its presence in the residential segment. “Despite challenges in the residential sector, we are seeing a clear trend towards higher quality products, with consumers becoming increasingly attentive to durability, aesthetics, and innovation. This consumer behavior provides strong premises for developing the premium range, and our forecasts remain positive regarding demand for the Symmetrica Select collections. We believe this orientation towards premium solutions will continue to strengthen, even in a more challenging economic context,” said the Executive Director of Symmetrica. With over 30 years of presence in the Romanian market, Symmetrica has established itself as a leader in the production of paving slabs and concrete prefabricates through a sustained development strategy and constant investments in expanding production capacities. The company currently owns nine paving slab and concrete prefabricate factories, as well as a unit dedicated to industrial equipment, all supported by investments exceeding 135 million euros. Last year, the company reported a turnover of 317 million lei (63.7 million euros), marking a 22% increase compared to 2023.
