Tourism : Dino Parc Rasnov, winner of “Destinatia Anului 2025” in the “Fun and Adventure” category

April 24, 2025

Dino Parc Rasnov, the largest dinosaur park in Southeastern Europe, adds another prestigious trophy to its collection: the award “Destinatia Anului 2025” in the “Fun and Adventure” category. This distinction recognizes the park’s remarkable contribution and lasting impact on Romanian tourism, further strengthening its status as a leading destination for outdoor family experiences.   Since its opening in 2015, Dino Parc Rasnov has quickly become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Romania. This latest recognition adds to an already impressive list of achievements: Destinatia Anului 2023 in the same category, Marele Premiu al Telespectatorilor from the 2023 edition of the competition, 3rd place among the best amusement parks in Europe according to the 2024 ranking by europeanbestdestinations.com, and the Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice Award, received two years in a row. We are honored to continue being a top destination for families looking for adventure and quality time in nature. Congratulations to the organizers of this competition, which manages to bring us inspiration, motivation, and adrenaline every year. Thank you to everyone who voted for us – every single vote drives us to bring new and exciting attractions from the fascinating world of dinosaurs, year after year. After all, one thing is clear: family outings are not going extinct,” said Adrian Apostu, General Manager of Dino Parc Rasnov.   The distinction was awarded following a complex and transparent selection process. The evaluation combined public voting, with hundreds of thousands of Romanians casting their votes online, the input of a jury of 100 tourism experts, and the results of a national sociological study measuring brand awareness, attractiveness, and visitor experience. This mixed methodology ensures a representative and fair outcome, reflecting both public perception and objective quality.   Located at the base of Rasnov Fortress, the park features over 125 life-sized dinosaurs, accompanied by scientifically accurate information accessible to all age groups. Each exhibit is developed in partnership with prestigious institutions such as the Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History, the University of Bucharest, the Romanian Geological Institute, the Székely National Museum, the Brasov County History Museum, and various local and international partners. Dino Parc also stands out for its strong educational mission, offering guided tours, school-friendly activities, and special projects within national educational programs like scoala Altfel and Saptamana Verde.
