AtlasIntel survey: 11 days before presidential elections – George Simion ranks first with 31.9% of options, Antonescu second, followed by Nicusor Dan

AUR candidate George Simion, continues torank first in the race for the first round of presidential elections of May 4, according to an opinion poll made by AtlasIntel for HotNews, over April 17-22. Data show that Simion lost in 9 days most of what he had won in a month, for the second round of elections. At the same time, he reduced the difference to any oponent, in a presidential final round. According to the survey, Simion is credited with 31.9% of the options of people who answered the question. That means that after having grown by 3% over April 10-13, compared to March, the AUR candidate lost about half of it accrding to HotNews.   Crin Antonescu, the PSD-PNL-UDMR candidate ranks second, credited with 22.6% of votes, 2% less than 9 days ago, when he had 24.7%.   Independent candidate Nicusor Dan is 0.6% below, with 22%, with a slight increase to 21.2%.   Ranking 4th is Victor Ponta, credited with 10.2%, from 9.7%, while Elena Lasconi is 5th, with 5.5%, slightly higher than in the previous survey.   In the second round, George Simion gets fewer votes than his counterparts, except for Victor Ponta.   However, Crin Antonescu's advance versus George Simion drops from 12.9% to 5%, Lasconi's advance versus Simion drops from 3.5% to 2%, Nicusor Dan's advance versus George Simion drops from 3.2% to 3%.   At the same time, in a final round Nicusor Dan-Crin Antonescu, the latter would get 31% of votes versus 28% of the general mayor's votes, while the percentages of I don;t know/I don't vote/ nul vote – are the highest of all scenarios – 41%.   AtlasIntel survey was made on a sample of 3,701 respondents, through the digital random recruiting methos (Atlas RDR) and has a margin of error of +/- 2%, for a confidence degree of 95%.
