Nicusor Dan, the independent candidate in Sunday's second round of the presidential race, obtained 6,168,642 votes (53.60%), according to data published on the website of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), after centralizing all 20,085 minutes.Coming second is George Simion, the candidate of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), who obtained 5,339,053 votes, or 46.40%.More than 11.6 million Romanians voted in the second round. We will continue to be an important and significant part of Romanian society. I ask each of you not to give up. We will go all the way even if it is hard to feel this bitter taste of defeat. Romania and the Romanian people must come first," George Simion also said.
