July 8, 2025

More than half of Romanians think that PSD, PNL, and UDMR should be included in the next government, according to an INSCOP Research barometer conducted between May 26–30, 2025. “Survey participants were asked to indicate, for each parliamentary party, whether they believe that party should be part of the next government. Thus, 59.5% of Romanians believe the PNL should be in the future cabinet, while 37.4% think otherwise,” explained Remus stefureac, director of INSCOP Research, according to the press release. As for the PSD, 54.6% of respondents think the Social Democratic Party should be part of the next government, while 43.7% believe the party led by Sorin Grindeanu should remain outside the cabinet. Additionally, 52.9% believe the UDMR should join the future government, while 44.4% disagree. Opinions are nearly split on the USR: 49.5% support its inclusion in government, while 49.2% oppose it. According to the same source, 48.9% of respondents believe that AUR should be in the next government, while 47.2% disagree. Regarding the POT party, 43.3% support its presence in the cabinet, whereas 51.8% oppose it. As for SOS Romania, led by Diana Sosoaca, 31.4% of those surveyed believe it should be part of the next government, but 63.1% think it should remain outside. The data was collected between May 26–30, 2025, using a structured questionnaire and the CATI method (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing). The sample size was 1,150 respondents, stratified and representative of Romania’s non-institutionalized population aged 18 and over, based on key socio-demographic categories (gender, age, occupation). The maximum margin of error is ±2.9%, at a 95% confidence level. The Informat.ro–INSCOP Research Barometer is a monthly public opinion poll conducted by INSCOP Research, commissioned by the news platform Informat.ro in partnership with the think tank Strategic Thinking Group.
