The centre facilitates the training of military formations up to brigade level, as well as of personnel participating in individual missions abroad.In the context of the Russian invasion of Ukraine (2022), a NATO Multinational Battle Group (Battle Group Forward Presence - BGFP), later renamed Collective Defence Battle Group (CDBG), was established at Cincu, with France as the framework nation.The centre frequently hosts NATO exercises, such as STEADFAST DART 25 (with Romanian, French and Spanish soldiers) or SARMIS 25.1 (with the 2nd Mountain Ranger Brigade "Sarmizegetusa").
