DefMin meets U.S. SoD: I reaffirmed Romania's commitment to strengthening strategic partnership with U.S.

  Defence Minister Ionut Mosteanu held discussions in The Hague with U.S. Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth, during which the Romanian official reaffirmed the country's commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with the United States."Yesterday [Tuesday], I had a brief discussion with Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defence, at the NATO Summit in The Hague, on the sidelines of the meeting of NATO defence ministers. I reaffirmed Romania's commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership with the U.S. and invited him to Romania to discuss on the ground the extraordinary things we can do together, Romania and the USA, to strengthen the security of the eastern flank and support our joint efforts within NATO," Mosteanu wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.He was accompanied by the Chief of the Defence Staff, General Gheorghita Vlad, and the Deputy Head of the Department for Defence Policy, Planning and International Relations, Lieutenant General Mihai Iancu. "I thank them for their continuous work in service of the Romanian Armed Forces," the minister added.
