Dan on talking with Trump: It was just matters of politeness

Romania's President Nicusor Dan said on Wednesday that he discussed with US President Donald Trump only "matters of politeness" and that the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, congratulated him on winning the presidential election in May this year.Asked at a news conference after the NATO summit in The Hague what he discussed with Trump in the short moment when they greeted each other at the North Atlantic Council, Dan replied "only matters of politeness".He said that he discussed more with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who "followed the elections in Romania and congratulated us.""I think we are on a normal path," Dan said about the relationship with the US."We have military collaboration, we have a strategic partnership, we have American companies in Romania, including on those small nuclear reactors.
