August 13, 2025

Wizz Air announced it would resume flights to Israel as of August 8, 2025 instead of September 15, two months earlier than scheduled, News.ro informs. “Since air traffic is reopening in the area, Wizz Air is not only following the evolution , but is bringing back the well known pink airplanes on the sky of Israel, as soon as possible. Tickets are available on wizzair.com and on WIZZ application, at prices starting from 319 RON/249 ILS and demand is estimated to be high,” the air company announced in a press release, on Wednesday.   The company points out there are flights connecting Tel Aviv and Budapest, Larnaca, Milan, Rome, London, Vienna, Bucharest, Iasi, Sofia and Abu Dhabi. “We are back with a purpose. The fact that we returned to Tel Aviv earlier proves our engagement to loyal passengers from Israel and to maintaining connections,” said Anastasia Novak, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air.   According to data sent by the company, 10 routes to 8 countries, out of 24 routes to 11 countries, operated by the air company from Tel Aviv will be resumed earlier than planned, while the rest of flights to Tel Aviv will be back on September 15. This announcement supposes that WIZZ will have 31,000 seats available for sale from/to Tel Aviv.   “Once flights to Tel Aviv resume, Wizz Air will consolidate even more its presence in the area and will maintain its stable leading position in Europe and not only there. At present, the air company operates on 830 routes to 190 destinations in 51 countries and will carry 75 million passengers in its network extended in 2025, confirming its mission to have air travel accessible and available to everyone,” the company stated in the press release.
