President Nicusor Dan starts today an official visit in Germany; meetings with president and federal chancellor

President Nicusor Dan will make an official visit to Germany on Friday. He will have official talks with his counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier and with federal chancellor Friedrich Merz.   The visit agenda includes the participation in a meeting with German businessmen and a meeting with representatives of the Romanian community, the Presidential Administration informed on Thursday.   The visit takes place following the invitation made by the German president, in the context of deepening the high level Romanian-German dialogue and reflects the excellent relations with strategic character between the two countries, the source pointed out.   According to the Presidential Administration, the Romanian-German dialogue is based on a close bilateral cooperation, European and allied, as well as on solid historic and interhuman connections between the two countries.   Talks with the German president and the Federal chancellor will focus on developing the Romanian-German collaboration in fields of interest, accent being laid on projects of economic cooperation and investments in sectors like defense, energy, automobile, industrial and on close cooperation in European business and in the fields of security and defence.   Germany is Romania's main economic partner and an ally that significantly contributes to ensuring European security, the press release shows.   The agenda will also include support for Ukraine and efforts in ensuring a just, durable peace, backing Moldova and its European aims, maintaining EU unity of action and competitiveness as well as developing transatlantic relations.
