Salary remains the main criterion based on which Romanians choose a new job, given that almost 70% of participants in a survey by a recruitment platform often or very often feel daily financial pressure."In this context, they are increasingly paying attention to jobs that clearly state the salary they offer, and employers who need candidates immediately have started to increase the level of salary transparency, especially for 'blue collar' positions, i.e. those positions that are aimed at candidates who do not have higher education, skilled and unskilled workers," said Roxana Draghici, Head of Sales at eJobs, quoted in the presentation of the analysis. Thus, on iajob.ro, the job platform launched by eJobs.ro and dedicated to candidates who want to get hired quickly, the percentage of jobs with the salary displayed in the job advertisement reached 65%, well above the general market average, which is approximately 40%.Of the over 11,000 positions opened since the beginning of the summer on iajob.ro, 4,400 were addressed to unskilled workers, 6,500 to high school graduates and approximately 200 to higher education graduates or students.Including in terms of the distribution of positions according to the career level of the candidates sought, 47% of the jobs are for those with no experience at all, 31% for the entry level segment (with a maximum of 3 years of experience in the respective position), 21.4% for mid level (3 - 5 years of experience) and less than 2% for seniors with experience between 5 and 7 years or for managers."On iajob.ro we see more positions with a displayed salary than the general market average because employers target a category of candidates that is extremely sensitive to this aspect, who usually make the decision to apply or hire based on a single criterion - salary. Some of these candidates also fall into the niche of those for whom there is a deficit in the market, namely skilled workers. Therefore, there is an immediate need for them, and employers are resorting to salary transparency or offering the possibility of being contacted directly, by phone or Whatsapp, as the main methods to attract candidates more quickly. This is because the data we have shows us that jobs that have the salary displayed in the job advertisement receive 40% more applications than the others", explained Roxana Dr?ghici. Also, 45% of applications on iajob.ro are made by phone, 25% by Whatsapp and 30% by email. The fields that recruit the most candidates from the category of those without higher education and skilled and unskilled workers are retail, food industry, construction, tourism, HoReCa and transport/logistics.According to data from Salario, the salary comparator of eJobs, the net salary averages for these sectors are as follows: 3,800 RON per month for retail, 4,000 for the food industry, 5,500 RON for construction, 4,000 RON for tourism and HoReCa and 4,800 RON for transport/logistics. At the moment, 11,000 jobs are available on iajob.ro, and candidates can contact employers directly, via Whatsapp, phone or email, without the need for a CV.
