PM Bolojan meets Turkey's Transport Minister; cooperation opportunities in the relevant area on the agenda

  Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan welcomed on Wednesday, at the Victoria Palace, the Transport and Infrastructure Minister of the Republic of Turkey, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, in order to discuss cooperation opportunities in the areas of transport and infrastructure.According to a Government release, Prime Minister Bolojan underscored that, in the current difficult economic context, Romania will implement a just and fair treatment to all companies involved in infrastructure projects, regardless of their country of origin.Furthermore, Bolojan mentioned that the Executive in Bucharest will take steps in order to boost and streamline the visa issuance process, both for employees of the Turkish companies operating in Romania, as well as for tourists, aiming to increase significantly the number of Turkish visitors to Romania."Another important point of discussions tackled the development of Romania-Bulgaria-Turkey trilateral cooperation in the area of road and railway infrastructure, in view of improving regional connectivity and supporting the economic development of all those involved," the release showed.The Prime Minister also underscored the strategic positioning of Romania, mentioning the country's availability to be a trusted partner in the reconstruction efforts of Ukraine. Moreover, the Romanian side conveyed its commitment for a clear and fair action in view of ensuring some concrete and beneficial results for Romania and Turkey at the future meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between the two countries.The meeting was also attended by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Ciprian Serban, Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister Mihai Jurca, Turkey's Ambassador in Bucharest Ozgur Kivanc Altan and Director General for the European Union Affairs and Foreign Relations within Turkey's Transport and Infrastructure Ministry.  (Photo:https://gov.ro/)
