Over 270 designers from 40 countries will participate in the sixth edition of the Romanian Jewelry Week (ROJW2025), scheduled to take place from October 1-5, the organizers announced.This year, the Romanian Jewelry Week is honored by the presence of prestigious collective exhibitions, with diverse histories and experiences, all united by their passion for contemporary jewelry, a release sent on Wednesday informed."Some are well-established landmarks in the field, such as SCHMUCKmuenchen, a reference forum in the jewelry world for over sixty years, regarded as the most important meeting point for experts and connoisseurs; or The International Jewellery Competition, the central event of the Legnica Jewellery Festival SILVER, organized since 1979 by the Gallery of Art in Legnica, one of the oldest European initiatives dedicated to supporting creativity at the intersection of art, craft, and design. Others are at the beginning of their journey but already shaping fresh perspectives, such as Slovenian Jewelry Week 2025, where the theme 'Energy, Joy, and Harmony' explored jewelry as an artistic response to today's global challenges. Alongside them, Romanian Jewelry Week also brings together diverse and innovative collectives, such as AdOC, Global Creative Graduate Show, Plus One Collective, Assamblage Contemporary School, Institute Jeanne Toussaint - Belgium, Precious Collective, The Sense of Beauty Gallery, and Unnecessary Jewelry" according to the quoted source.In addition to the international exhibitions and the ROJW2025 jewelry fair, the visitors will have access to conferences, presentations and workshops led by prominent figures in the area of jewelry.The program will take place across multiple venues in Bucharest, with the National Library of Romania as the main location, alongside museums, galleries and independent spaces.From New York to Athens, Munich, and Madrid, leading names from museums, galleries, and international fairs will jury the exhibited works and present the awards at the opening ceremony on October 1.The special guest of this edition is Slawomir Fijalkowski - a Polish designer, curator and professor with over three decades of experience in the jewelry art, design and industry.
