Orange Romania establishes new entity specialized in cybersecurity

A company specialized in cybersecurity, designed to respond to the challenges generated by the increase in cyber threats to companies and critical infrastructures, will be part of the portfolio of the telecommunications operator, Orange Romania, according to a press release from the group, sent on Tuesday.According to the cited source, the new entity, called SCUT (Unified Cyber Security in Telecommunications), represents a resilience response, which aims to protect companies against increasingly sophisticated threats."SCUT ensures comprehensive business protection through a unified approach to cybersecurity, providing visibility and control over all critical components of the organization. The company's services are supported by innovative technologies, including artificial intelligence-based solutions, which allow the identification of abnormal behaviors or risks for businesses. SCUT is an independent entity, in which Orange Romania is the main shareholder, this investment being part of its strategy to strengthen digital resilience at a national level. The company provides a unified protection service, which offers a complete and modular vision of customer infrastructures, multiple layers of protection and a coordinated response to incidents - thus creating a true "Cyber Protection SHIELD"", the press release reads.The new company's team includes specialists with over 20 years of experience in the field of cybersecurity, as well as the global expertise of Orange Cyberdefense, a strategic partner of SCUT with decades of experience in securing critical infrastructures around the world.
