Romania stands in solidarity with Poland, which neutralized Russian drones over its own airspace from Tuesday night into Wednesday, and, if necessary, procedures are in place "to respond similarly" in Romania, President Nicusor Dan said Wednesday."It was a justified measure. All NATO states have expressed their solidarity," the head of state added.Nicusor Dan explained that in Romania there have been cases of drones falling accidentally."If it happens, the procedures are prepared to respond similarly, people need not worry," the president said.He emphasized that Romania is prepared under the law approved by Parliament and the procedures established by the Supreme Council of National Defence (CSAT).On Wednesday, Poland mobilized its own air defense systems as well as NATO's to shoot down drones over its airspace following a Russian air attack on Ukraine.After "repeated violations" of Polish airspace during the Russian attack on western neighboring Ukraine, the Polish military announced the deployment of Polish and allied aircraft.
