The Alliance for Romanians' Union (AUR - opposition) party holds the top position in voter preferences, followed by the Social Democratic Party (PSD – at rule), the National Liberal Party (PNL – în ruling coalition) and the Save Romania Union (USR – în ruling coalition), according to a poll INSCOP Research published on Monday.The survey was conducted between 6-10 October by INSCOP Research, commissioned by the news platform Informat.ro, in partnership with the Strategic Thinking Group think tank.Data was collected using the CATI method (Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing). The sample size was 1,100 respondents, stratified and representative of Romania's non-institutionalised adult population (aged 18 and over), across significant socio-demographic categories (gender, age, occupation). The parties currently in power collectively score around 50%, while the parliamentary opposition reaches around 45%. AUR appears to be consolidating its lead with 40%, while no other party manages to surpass the 20% threshold. PSD ranks second, followed by PNL, USR and UDMR. POT and S.O.S. Romania remain below the 5% threshold, at a level relatively close to that of SENS,' said INSCOP Research Director Remus Stefureac.
