Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan began his two-day official visit to Austria on Wednesday by attending the reception organized by Romania's Embassy in Vienna on the occasion of Romania's National Day - December 1.He thanked the Romanian communities in Austria for the way they carry out their activity in this country.Chancellor Christian Stocker also attended the event."I am honored to be in Vienna this evening to mark Romania's National Day. I must thank the Romanian community in Austria for everything they do here, from caring for the elderly, to working in construction and to the most skilled trades they perform. All of you who are here, good citizens, honor us and I thank you for this, I assure you of the respect of the Romanian Government. I must also thank the Austrian people, the Austrian Government, and the authorities here for the way they have received the Romanian community and for the support they have provided for its integration," said Ilie Bolojan.He stressed the importance of sharing the same values: "To all the friends of Romania who are here, I thank you very much for your presence, for your collaboration with the representatives of our country. I believe that we are all united by the same values of freedom, democracy and respect for each other. Thank you once again for your presence and for your friendship."The Romanian PM presented the agenda of the official visit he is making to Austria, at the invitation of Chancellor Stocker."In the meetings we will have tomorrow, together with business people, together with the Chancellor and the Austrian government team, we will continue to develop the collaboration between Romania and Austria. For Romania, Austria is one of the most important partners in Europe, both thanks to the investments of Austrian companies in Romania, the jobs created, but also to the long-term collaborative and respectful relations. I am convinced that we will develop this collaboration economically, in terms of energy, in such a way that our peoples will have something to gain", highlighted Bolojan, who thanked the Austrian Chancellor for participating in the event organized at the Romanian Embassy.
