We depend on parliamentary procedures, we depend on the adoption of all laws that enable us, as I have told you, to have a budget which is predictable, that leads us toward meeting the target, so that we can decrease the deficit and create conditions for development in the second half of next year, when inflation should also drop to a much lower level than it is today," PM Bolojan mentioned on B1 TV private television station.In this context, he commented, when asked about this topic, on a statement of President Nicusor Dan who said that he will promulgate the state budget on one condition - that the referendum in Bucharest be taken into account."Yes, the referendum in Bucharest in fact proposes that the taxes collected from Bucharest residents be shared according to a fair formula through the General Council. What must we openly acknowledge? In the past twenty years, at least since I have been following what happens in the administration, the distribution of the Capital's resources has been based on a dispute between the general mayor and the district mayors. When the general mayor belonged to the governing party, he had a stronger position and took a larger share of the money. When the district mayors were stronger and the general mayor was not part of the governing coalition or did not have a good relationship with the decision makers there, the larger share went to the district city halls. What is certain is that money in Bucharest must be distributed in such a way that it reaches the General or district city hall that is responsible for managing the respective issues and whose resolution depends on a certain amount of money. Thus, in practice, the money should follow the problems that need solving. (...) And this formula raised by the president basically reflects the will of Bucharest's citizens, who also voted this referendum in the local elections, through which they expressed themselves in this way," Prime Minister Bolojan said.
