Premier Ilie Bolojan stated on Friday that as regards the sanctins for the Lukoil company, the deadlines were postponed until spring and Romania adopted the legislation which allows the government, in this case the ministry of energy to intervene on the part of supervision. Premier Ilie Bolojan was asked which is the updated situation with Lukoil. He mentioned that ‘Romania has adopted the legislation which allows the government through the responsible ministries, in this case the ministry of energy, to intervene on supervision, so that Romania be part of the sanctions’. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan recently stated that there are "sufficient stocks at present and in the near future to ensure the supply of gasoline and diesel" without the Petrotel-Lukoil refinery in Ploie?ti being in operation. Bolojan announced that there are different deadlines for the sanctions imposed on the Russian company Lukoil to take effect, with sanctions for the Ploie?ti refinery valid from November and fuel stations to be sold by mid-December. Regarding the payment of salaries to employees of the Petrotel-Lukoil refinery in Ploie?ti, the prime minister said that Lukoil "must take the necessary decisions."
