Nova Vita Medical Center selects innovative GE Healthcare technologies for new diagnostic center

Investment in new technology will help hospital deliver better care to more patient and support Nova Vita to meet healthcare needs of the future Nova Vita Medical Centre, the largest private hospital in Transylvania, held a celebration to mark the opening of its new diagnostic imaging center. The new 300 sq. meter facility, developed following an investment of EUR 2 million, which was officially opened by Virgil Mailat, the Administrator of Nova Vita Medical Center, is equipped with several innovative diagnostic imaging technologies from GE Healthcare. The GE Healthcare Optima 450 magnetic resonance imaging system, the Optima 660 CT scanner and the Brivo DR X-ray system will be used to give clinicians detailed information about diseases such as cancer, neurological disorders and heart disease.  The new technologies offer a number of advantages over previous generation GE technology, positioning Nova Vita to support the future demands of healthcare in Romania as well as helping clinicians deliver better care to their patients.  Around 600 patients each month are expected to be cared for in the new center. Commenting on the center’s latest investment, Dr. Drago?
