The “EduproSummit#1 – Educate for future” conference for the development of the vocational education in dual system in Romania

October 31, 2018

On Thursday, November 1, 2018, the Romanian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK Romania) and the German Embassy in Bucharest, organize, from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM, at JW Marriott Bucharest Grand Hotel, the first conference on the vocational education, called “EduproSummit#1 – Educate for future”. The conference aims at consolidating the vocational education in dual system in Romania. This will help to combat the increased lack of qualified labor force in Romania, which labor force is absolutely necessary, mainly considering the strong economic growth of the previous years. The conference provides the decision-makers in the political, economic, educational fields, as well as the students and the media, with a platform in order to talk about the development of the vocational education in dual system in Romania. The following questions are in the forefront: Which are the challenges faced by companies and schools? How can more companies be encouraged to become more engaged in this project? How can the quality of the curriculum and of the educational system be improved? How can more students be attracted by the vocational education? How can the reluctance existing among the families be prevented, towards the option related to the vocational training? First of all, it’s the youngsters’ turn to publicly speak about their experience and expectations related to the educational system. The event is organized in partnership with the Romanian Ministry of National Education.
