President Klaus Iohannis will participate November 10 – 11 in Paris in a series of events dedicated to the Centenary of the Armistice that ended World War I, the Presidential Administration informed. The head of state will be present, alongside the leaders of the WWI warring countries as well as of the countries that supported the war effort, at the Arc de Triomphe, where the ceremony for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the armistice will take place. President Klaus Iohannis will also take part in the opening of the Paris Peace Forum, an initiative by French President Emmanuel Macron, which aims to generate concrete projects in the spirit of multilateralism and contemporary cooperation, in support of peace. On the occasion of the visit to Paris, the head of the Romanian state will meet Romanian students, master’s and doctoral students from the Paris region involved in scientific research, in an event organized at the Embassy of Romania in Paris, dedicated to the Romanian contribution to the development of science and technology in the year of the Greater Union Centennial. President Iohannis participates in the events dedicated to the Armistice Centenary at the invitation of his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
