Japanese Embassy organises new edition of the Japanese Culture Month

This year Bucharest will not be the only city hosting events related to Japan, but so will other cities such as Cluj-Napoca, Constanta, Brasov and Iasi. November will witness the most various events, including feature film screenings, book launches, concerts and shamisen workshops, traditional dances, kimono presentations, tea ceremonies, haiku, origami, renzuru, sushi, ikebana, shodo, chigirie, mizuhiki, yumeiho, go, shogi, karuta, and hanafuda workshops, conferences and round tables on various topics, karaoke, aikido, kendo, and kenjutsu competitions. This year’s organisers are: Japanese Embassy in Romania, Japan Foundation, Babes-Bolyai University, National Film Archive, Romanian Cinematheque, Romanian-American University, ‘Angela Hondru’ Romanian-Japanese Studies Centre, Chado Urasenke Tankokai Romania-Luminis, University of Bucharest, Humanitas Fiction Publishing House, ASE Centre for Japanese Studies, Nobori Cultural Centre, National Art Museum, Musashino-Japan Association, Transylvania University, Dimitrie Cantemir Christian University, Haiku Society of Constanta, Sakuranbo Association, Transylvania Museum, Tenshin, Haramichi Ro, Association of Kendo, Iaido and Jodo Clubs, Romanian-Japanese Himawari Association, Carturesti Verona Bookstore, Ethnographic Museum of Transylvania, etc.
